This is a must read for those politicians who don't understand life in a Syrian refugee camp @AlboMP @PaulineHansonOz @Katherine_deves @mattjcan @AngusTaylorMP @ChrisMinnsMP For you and the rest of those who don't understand just how hard and disgraceful #al_Hol and #al_Roj refugee camps, read this true story of one of the young Australian girls who was raised in a camp. Jasmine* was five years old and so traumatised that when she woke up trying to scream, she couldn't make a sound. She told her grandparents of nightmares about black dogs trying to eat her. Jasmine was safe in Australia, a long way from Syria, where she was born, and from the conflict that had claimed the lives of her parents and siblings. But the comfort of grandparents did little to stop the daily hauntings, and she kept the vivid memories of watching starving dogs eat dead bodies.

Another example of @ASPI_org writing about a subject with no "ground truth"! I have been working with @IOMIraq in #Al_Hol and #Al_Roj refugee camps on counter #ISIS intervention programs that were funded by #USAID. Now that funding has ceased the 1000s of #Iraqi youth that were anti #ISIS are now joining #ISIS because they hate America for abandoning them! The U.S asked them to trust that the U.S would also support them and now @POTUS @SecRubio have ceased the programs they have joined #ISIS and now hate America. So because of this one decision #ISIS gained both fighters & territory! Now @SecDef @TulsiGabbard will once again have to send @usasoac into the Levant to fight a war they had won! If @SecRubio @POTUS refunded these programs it could be saved! https://t.co/8r2HP7sfQC

One day workshop in #al_Roj camp, women from #France, #Germany, #Denmark, #Holland, #UK, #USA and #Uzbekistan were cautiously selected! I ask them about HOW we can work together! they are part of the problem, they can be part of the solution the level of education surprised me
