Utterly disgusting. I responded to the attempted suicides of staffers, and I took so many calls from their families who sobbed and screamed at me, that I ended up in the worst place in my life. I was Scottish Lib Dem mental health spokesperson at the time. I resigned my spokesperson post, asking for help (I was still their interim CEO) and not only did I not get help, Willie Rennie never spoke to me again but instead bullied me from afar with lawyers and statements to the party about my assault that gaslit me. Alex Cole Hamilton knew about it and he allowed it to happen. If I’d died in 2020, this man would have gone to my funeral and said nice things to my child about me, with my blood on his hands. If it wasn’t for my GP realising how desperate I was (after The Scotsman put me on their front cover) and getting me into emergency mental health support within five days of GP finding out exactly what was going on and why I’d dropped 5 stone in weight (during the first lockdown I might add) I might not be here now. It is utterly terrifying that Alex Cole Hamilton knows all of this and continues to come out with this stuff. I pay for twitter so I can record longer videos and tell you things that I wish to tell an independent investigator, but try not to write the long tweets. Who wants to read a long tweet? But this is just appalling on the part of Alex Cole Hamilton. He’s either very dangerous or clinically very very unwell. And there are journalists who tell me this is not a story. I’m okay now, but I can’t imagine if that GP didn’t intervene.
