@EmnekoSweeney Great writeup, but Cam is a BEAST on D as well. Always defends the best scorer. Closes out FAST. And his body control on D is amazing. It has been overlooked, but he had 2 quick fouls in the 1st quarter Friday and finished with 3 total and never played timid. #allthetools

@cmarkevichgpc I was gutted today to do the math … we have a person dying every two days in #Kamloops - a preventable death from the #ToxicDrugCrisis. We need #AllTheTools. Dead people cannot recover. Hoping the @BCGreens will make a difference and save lives.

Recovery isn’t like taking out an appendix … “one and done” Relapse is the rule … not the exception … for people who use drugs the seek treatment multiple times. A relapse should not a death sentence due to the #ToxicDrugCrisis We need #AllTheTools #bcpoli

HEY @JohnRustad4BC, HEY! It’s me, the guy you spoke to on a downtown Vancouver street — who you told you WOULDN’T cut lifesaving supervised consumption services!! This quote you gave to CBC last night shows you really don’t understand addiction. You told the reporter that after my first overdose the government “should have actually stepped in and put him into mandatory treatment and recovery so he didn't overdose five more times.” 🤦🏻‍♂️ I didn’t need forced treatment John. I WENT INTO TREATMENT VOLUNTARILY DOZENS OF TIMES‼️ Man, the number of people with a platform and/or actual decision-making power who think a person will go into treatment one single time and magically BE CURED OF THEIR ADDICTION … is astounding 🤯 Addiction is a chronic relapsing disease. Very few people will be cured after one stint in treatment, and the rate of success is much, much lower when it’s forced. When people relapse, as I did many times, they’re more likely to overdose because today’s illicit drug supply is so potent and unpredictable, and because their tolerance to those drugs has been lowered while they were abstinent. BC Conservative shift on supervised consumption sites is dramatic. John Rustad told me and others he would keep them open and provide detailed options for recovery for all site users. Now he plans to close them all. The court has protected consumption sites in the past. #bcpoli

When I was 17, I took my friend to a safe consumption site because she was pregnant and we didn’t know where else to access safe, compassionate, judgement free and accessible healthcare, and it was the smartest decision I’ve ever made. This policy will kill people.

This is sobering thought I had not considered. The Supreme Court upheld supervised consumptions sites. @richardzussman - media needs to ask Rustad if he would do this #ToxicDrugCrisis #allthetools #bcpoli

@richardzussman Yes the courts have protected consumption sites in the past. But Rustad will invoke the notwithstanding clause if he doesn’t get his way. Count on it. #bcpoli
