This new exhibition brings the magic of books and alphabets to life, featuring more than 150 works inspired by the alphabet.

Offering expert guidance will be artist Rosalind Wyatt.
We have been featuring the work of this calligrapher and textile artist in the Weston shop, in response to our current #AlphabetsAlive exhibition. Some of her original artwork is for sale in the shop.

Artists use knives, wood, handmade paper, wire and other tools to execute their beautiful writing. Some create designs with straight edge and compass; with molten metal; or even AI.

Meanwhile in #AlphabetsAlive, this magnificent illuminated Hebrew Bible was produced in La Coruña in 1476, not long before the Expulsion of Jews from Spain.
Using human shapes to form his letters, the proud artist writes 'I, Joseph, son of Haim, drew and completed this book'.
