Our family is a strong, tight, love filled, communicate always with respect type. Mom spent nearly every hour with Dad at the hospital, falling asleep across his lap with him holding her in the hospital bed. Even recovering he offers to make her coffee or care for her. She makes him special meals and ensures he is following his doctors orders. They make each other laugh, even though Dad has to laugh quietly because of his throat surgery. Dad has cared for Mom without hesitation and Mom does the same. They snuggle all us puppers and there are no raised voices, or disrespectful actions or comments. Ever. Just love. Even when they are apart their actions convey to everyone around their love and commitment to our family and each other. Great relationships don’t happen because of the love you had in the beginning, but how well you continue building love until the end. We should all strive for this type of love and compassion.
