@vngalwana The long term contracts that #NERSA signed with #Alusaf #Mozal #BHPBilliton for supply to Aluminium smelters are skewed in favour of the user and to the detriment of #ESKOM. The supply price is about half the cost of production. I estimate a loss of R50bln/annum to the fiscus.

@LandNoli These are not the SAVIOURS of #ESKOM as we are led to believe. These are the new looters. #BHP #Billiton have done enough in looting #Eskom with their #Alusaf and #Mozal smelters. Now we have to contend with another Aussie company #Resgen.

@ducatisl2 @chrisyelland @rottenrainbowza @Eskom_SA No need for job losses if #Eskom simply tears up #IPP contracts as well as the #Alusaf and #Mozal contracts. All of these contracts are null and void in terms of South African #Contract #Law and the #Constitution. #Eskom would be R50billion to R70billion/annum better off.

@lesmorgp @koko_matshela @DDMabuza Yes, that's true. Domestic consumption is around 11%. #Alusaf and #Mozal also consume 11%, but at a subsidized rate of R0,23/kWh. Bear in mind the #REIPP charge #Eskom R2, 22 - R3,00/kWh. They are using calculator with flat battery. #WMC taking us for a ride.
