If it was purely a cynical stunt to pander to Muslims, he wouldn’t keep doubling down on anti-migrant/race-realist takes that alienate large parts of the ummah. It seems more accurate to say he saw Islam as compatible with (and reinforcing) his pre-existing “strong man, traditional, anti-woke” worldview — especially its emphasis on male authority and intolerance of degeneracy. But he has shown little interest in the repentance, humility, or full behavioural overhaul many Muslims expect from converts.Bottom line (as of May 2026): Tate is still a self-identified Muslim and makes occasional public gestures (Ramadan posts, pro-Islam statements). However, the overwhelming consensus from Muslim critics, ex-associates, and observers is that his practice is shallow/selective at best. His core brand — polygamous alpha-male materialism, gambling promotion, race/migrant commentary, and unrepentant past — remains largely unchanged.
