FIRE WX UPDATE: Red Flag Warnings are in effect for most of the #ArkLaMiss. These warnings will begin Wednesday morning at 10AM, and remain active through 8PM. A Fire Weather Watch will then go into effect for Thursday. While we have had a nice break from the triple-digit heat, we are still very dry. Most of NELA is experiencing drought conditions, with the most severe conditions occurring in La Salle and Catahoula Parishes. - Will likely become Tropical Storm Harold before making landfall
Tropical Depression Gert:
- Will likely dissipate or become post-tropical soon
- No impacts to land expected
Tropical Storm Franklin:
- Will likely move over the Dominican Republic as a tropical storm
- Franklin is forecasted to potentially become a hurricane by Saturday afternoon
Invest 92-L:
- Currently located off of the west coast of Africa
- Most models are forecasting that this storm will move northeast
Post-Tropical Cyclone Emily:
- Expected to stay in the Atlantic Ocean
- Not expected to strengthen much over the next few days
