75 years have elapsed since the adoption of our Constitution.. Enactment of #UCC is long overdue..Muslim community can not veto it perpetually.
✔️In 1952, while introducing, #SMA in the Parliament, then Law Minister Mr. Biswas had specifically said that it was the 1st step towards the adoption of #UCC ..
Same assurances were given to Hindus in 1955 when the Hindu Code Bill was introduced and passed..
✔️ However, everytime a reform in the Muslim Personal Law is sought, the Muslim community does not budge and threaren to spill blood on the streets..
✔️ Every Muslim who wanted to live under the Sharia law was given a separate country Pakistan..They were free to go there..But, after opting to live in secular India and demanding to live under the Sharia law is not acceptable.
Even Nehru-Liaqat pact provided for it..
✔️ India is a secular country and the Govt is obliged to bring reforms in the Personal Law of every faith, as the occasion demanded..
Every community living within India should abide by such laws or get out of India.
Indian Muslims will never sing Vande Mataram.
