Black students at UVA develop great leadership skills as a result of this. But I’ve had more late-nighters and stress from orgs than any class. Invaluable skills gained, but definitely comes at a cost. Still worth it to put that much effort in, IMO #AskBSA

The competitive culture at UVA can make you feel like you can’t talk to anyone if you’re doing poorly in a class but PLEASE reach out for help, whether it be your professor, TA or friend in the class. Do not suffer in silence, there’s no shame in asking for help. #AskBSA
