#SaveOurFarms 🇺🇸🌾 Y’all don’t mind me over here talking but I would bet we all would agree that anyone who has borrowed more than $25 Million on a loan in the U.S. Farm Credit System, set up to preserve family farms, just might have been manipulating the game slightly. Well this is how much the game has been warped: We have given out so many Mega-Loans of $25 Million or more that if you just forced those amounts to be paid back into the System as a restitution for same, it would pay off the entirety of every single loan in the System of $24.9 Million or less. Or in other words, if the corporate abusers were charged with this bill, we could, in the blink of an eye, wipe away 46% of all the farm debt in this nation; creating a food supply that is sustainable for generations. I would ask the Farm Credit Administration to attempt to justify it to the farmers; or to the American public, given their status as a government sponsored enterprise. They have been caught lending to those who needn’t have any other advantage over America’s farmers and ranchers — to include loans to corporate giants like Tyson and JBS — while also fighting tooth and nail to keep lending to foreign nationals. There’s a time for talk and there is a time for action. And I firmly believe it is time to take action so that Farm Credit is made to be held accountable here. And we have the goods on them to make that happen; one way or another, mark my words. Tomorrow we will outline a Plan to Save Our Farms, at least where it comes to the part we believe we can play in this — the answer is not always litigation, but it calls for it from time to time; and I don’t want to hold this another day when it comes to the farmers in this country obtaining relief. #SaveOurFarms 🇺🇸🌾
