I never thought he would follow me, especially since I did the same for @GEJonathan last year, highlighting his accomplishments during his first two years in office to respond to Tinubu's two-year tenure.

Shehu Musa Yar’Adua GCFR was a leader, a military general, Nigeria’s de facto Vice President (1976-1979), a businessman, a thinker, and a man driven by ideas and action throughout his life. 3. Who Is Atiku?: Atiku Abubakar’s Father Was Convicted And Sentenced To Jail For Failing To Send Him To School.
Garba Abubakar, Atiku’s father, was opposed to Western education to such an extent that he took Atiku to neighboring Cameroon and found out that it was mandatory for children to attend school then brought him back to Jada, Adamawa, and left him with his grandmother and instructed that Atiku should not go to school. The local authority police were deployed to arrest his father, who was jailed for a few days until his grandmother paid a fine of 10 shillings. In 1957, his father died by drowning while crossing a river to Toungo, a nearby village to Jada.
At the age of eight, Abubakar started primary school at Jada Primary School in Adamawa. After completing his primary education in 1960, he was admitted to Adamawa Provincial Secondary School in the same year, alongside 59 other students. He graduated in 1965 after earning a grade three in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination.
Drawing on his childhood experiences, Atiku Abubakar has repeatedly called for tougher measures to reduce Nigeria’s high number of out-of-school children, the highest globally. He has stated that parents should be compelled to send their children to school, which could help address security issues in Nigeria

After Atiku Abubakar was advised by his political mentor, Shehu Musa Yar’Adua to step down for M.K.O Abiola, Yar’Adua’s group reached an agreement with Abiola for Atiku to be the 1993 vice-presidential candidate of the SDP. However, Abiola betrayed Atiku Abubakar and Shehu Musa Yar’Adua by nominating Babagana Kingibe as his running mate. Although Atiku was not bittered about not being chosen, his mentor, Shehu Musa Yar’Adua, was displeased with Abiola’s decision to go against the initial agreement. Atiku later visited Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo to plead with Shehu not to oppose the party and to support Abiola. Following this meeting, Shehu agreed to collaborate with Abiola, and Atiku contributed financially to Abiola’s campaign.
