THE MARCOS MOUTHPIECE A presidential spokesperson's primary role is to communicate the administration’s policies and positions in a professional and strategic manner...not to attack its opponents! 👩‍🦰 Unfortunately, this newly-appointed spokeswoman of the president is doing it the wrong way. In just her first day of office, she acted like a relentless predator, a puma cat hunting its prey with unshakable focus. Here's a tiny bit of advice, Claire! You are a seasoned lawyer, do not make the press briefing room in Malacanang like a courtroom where you can present arguments to defend your client. A presidential spokesperson must not act like a puppet or propagandist of the president. You must be honest, transparent, calm and charismatic. An effective spokeswoman should focus on policies, not personalities. Do not spend too much time mudslinging opponents rather than explaining policies, it will hurt public perception. Avoid personal attacks because it will further damage the administration's image. You can defend the president without raising your eyebrows and resorting to insults. If you have difficulty in answering, just stay silent by saying "No Comment' on the media's questions. Let the president's "hatchet men" handle the dirty job...otherwise, you will be mocked in social media, lose public trust and put pressure on you to resign or be replaced just like what happened to your predecessors. Good luck Claire on your new career! 🤣 #ALessonEachDay #PrayForTheFormerPresident #GodSaveThePhilippines

Isang araw pa lang PALPAK na. Bangag din 'guro 'to😏💩 _POS: Claire Castro: Marcos’ One-Day Disaster and the Palace’s Fastest-Failing Mouthpiece By OPTIC Politics DEPO | February 24, 2025 When Claire Castro was appointed as Palace Press Officer following the resignation of her predecessor, many expected her to bring stability and professionalism to the position. Instead, in just one day, she turned the Palace press office into a personal war room, barking incessantly at former President Rodrigo Duterte rather than focusing on the real concerns of the Filipino people. Her appointment by Marcos was supposed to signal a more refined and strategic communications approach. Yet, within hours of assuming office, she made it clear that she was more interested in launching political attacks than in serving as the President’s voice. Rather than uniting the nation, she chose to divide it, using her platform to undermine Duterte—a leader whose influence and popularity remain formidable. But Castro’s biggest miscalculation is assuming that the public is too blind to see through her charade. Every word she spews against Duterte only exposes the Marcos administration’s deep insecurities, making Marcos look weak and desperate. A Palace Press Officer is supposed to amplify the President’s vision and leadership, but Castro has done the exact opposite—she has made him look smaller. The way she handles her position, it is clear that her tenure will not last long. She has already made herself a liability, an embarrassing misstep that the Marcos administration cannot afford. If she continues on this reckless path, she will not only ensure her own downfall but also accelerate the implosion of an administration that is already struggling to keep its footing. Her predecessor may have resigned, but Claire Castro’s exit will not be voluntary—it will be inevitable. The only question is: will Marcos cut his losses now, or will he allow her to drag him down with her?
