#AuthorsNotes: So, I have a scene in my novel where my lead character has a bit of a potion acid trip (Like Mulder's little mushroom trip in #TheXFiles). Writing it was difficult (I don't do drugs and I am T total), so I had AI help me storyboard it. What it produced for me had me laughing my head off for several minutes. Now I am just left totally freaked out by the bear and snail #MaisieWilliams seems to be enjoying drinks with.
PS. Riverdance HAD to go in. I am part Irish and I find Irish dancing to be a wonderful thing, and I feel it's a great way to add a little of myself to my writing.

#AuthorsNotes: So, it's official. #CaptainDrake is back in action. First read thought of Chapter 1-4 took place tonight. Honestly, I was in stiches. Drake's sense of humour maybe a little darker, but it's still there. Early rise tomorrow to start the next 4 chapters.
And to think, If @It_b_Mike hadn't suggested a Captain Drake story idea. I wouldn't have been reunited with my alter-ego, and be in my element writing this novel.

#AuthorsNotes: What I am loving about this novel is that we get to explore (well I do) #CaptainDrake's family life. He's no more in command of a crew. He has time to focus on family. Seeing his Granddaughter graduate from the academy. Aiding his daughter on her rogue mission. educating his son on how to become a great Captain like he once was.
Simply. Family is the key thread to this novel.

#AuthorsNotes: So it's with a heavy heart that I have come to this decision. Sci-Fi has always been my beard and butter, and I have had the honour to ACT and WRITE it. From my days as Captain Thomas Drake of the USS Pathfinder, to my frustrated attempts to bring magic and #SciFi into one #StarTrek-ish story. Yeah, it's been a ride.
But I want #StarTrek and stories like that to be my sanctuary. I am not turning my back on the Sci-Fi world. Far from it. But I am no longer going to be trying to write my own Star Trek. I will be exploring other forms of the Sci-Fi genre. I am leaving the Captain's Chair behind for good (again).
2026 will be a new chapter in my Sci-Fi writing journey. So, it might be farewell to one kind of Sci-Fi story telling. But it's HELLO to a different kind of telling a Sci-Fi story for me.

#AuthorsNotes: So I asked @ConnieClassPoj to create for me a space station that is 20 times the length of the Solar System and lies at the heart of the galaxy. Told him that it has to be as amazing as @It_b_Mike and @StarfleetDreams work.

#AuthorsNotes: And so we have come to end of the first chapter for my magical #GameOfThrones style of novel. Just wrote a great scene where #JennaColeman and #GeorgieHenley are taking part in ritual reserved for the passing of a great wizarding leader. However it seems one sister is more interested in the throne their father has left behind, instead of the ritual the other two sisters are performing.
#AuthorsNotes You know if Paramount isn't going to give us #StarTrekLegacy. Then I might have to write my own Legacy using this as a bases for the storyline
#AuthorsNotes: and that is the first few pages of the novel completed. A brief history of the kingdoms to set the scene for the readers. Written by an elder wizard. Very proud of what I have written.

Today I signed a legally binding contract with 11 other writes and my publishing agent, stating that we will not use @ChatGPTapp or @grok to write any part of our novels for us. We have agreed that writing should be an extension of the human's heart, brain and voice, and not a emotionless computer generated mass of text.
I would encourage all members of the #WritingCommunity to join us in saying that AI has no place in novel writing.
