With Ford completely stopping F-150 Lightning EV production in 2 weeks for the rest of the year due to weak demand, Tesla is on track to sell around 2.5x more Cybertrucks than Ford will sell Lightnings in 2024.

In a new test, every Tesla Model 3 refresh variant exceeded its EPA range estimates, except for the Performance variant.
Out of Spec conducted a @Tesla Model 3 70-MPH Highway Range Test of every Model 3 variant at the same time. The testing procedures followed their usual order: Set all tire pressures, HVAC, and loads to the same in each car -> DC Charge to completed 100%, Drive 70-MPH out and back until the car dies as close to the starting location to counteract elevation and wind.

My Mom recently moved into a retirement community, where a local fire official just visited to discuss safety with all the residents. He asked if anybody owned any Teslas, and two people raised their hands, including my Mom (2022 Model Y).
He then pronounced “Teslas are catching fire left and right,” and should be parked near the garage exits. My Mom then raised her hand again in front of everyone and said “I need to set the record straight. In fact, when I last researched it, EVs caught on fire at a fraction of the rate of internal combustion vehicles.”
Here are the facts:
• Data from the U.S. NTSB showed that EVs were involved in approximately 25 fires for every 100,000 sold. Comparatively, approximately 1,530 gasoline-powered vehicles and 3,475 hybrid vehicles were involved in fires for every 100,000 sold.
• Tesla's latest vehicle fire data (shared in 2022) shows that between 2012 and 2022, approximately one Tesla vehicle fire event occurred for every 130 million vehicle miles traveled. By comparison, data from the NFPA and U.S. DOT indicate that one vehicle fire occurs in the US for every 18 million miles traveled. Compared to average vehicles on the road, Tesla vehicles are comparatively even less likely to be involved in a fire event than these numbers suggest, because Tesla's data includes fire events that are caused by structure fires, wildfires, arson, and other causes unrelated to the vehicle, whereas the NFPA data excludes any fires where a structure is involved.
Don't fall for mainstream media narratives that try to convince you EVs catch on fire more often than gas cars or hybrids. Teslas are some of the safest vehicles on the road. Top rated Government crash test around the world confirm that, and so do real world crash events. There are now over 6.5 million Teslas on the road. The Model Y is the best selling car overall in the world for a reason. Do your own research.

When legacy automakers pretend that their lousy Level 3 system is more capable than Tesla’s FSD (Level 2)
Tesla FSD is ~5X safer than a human-driven Tesla and ~16X safer than the average car on the road, AKA a Tesla is the safest vehicle in the road
