The more serious claim is about Donald Trump bypassing Congress. ‼️That can be a legitimate concern—using special envoy roles can blur accountability if it avoids confirmation processes. But it’s also not unprecedented; administrations from both parties have used envoys to handle complex, multi-country portfolios like Syria and Iraq.
Where your comment has a point is in the concentration of roles. One person simultaneously handling Turkey, Syria, and Iraq could tilt U.S. regional policy toward Ankara’s preferences—or at least create that perception. 🤔‼️That’s a real strategic risk worth questioning.🤔
But if you want your critique to land harder, drop the loaded language. Focus on the structural issue: concentration of power, potential lack of oversight, and whether U.S. policy independence is being diluted. That argument is much stronger than calling someone a “mouthpiece.”
