#IestynDavies (sounds 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 to me...no surprise!)...magnificent. I 've HEARD plenty of countertenors and I've seen this part sung by plenty of mezzos before- but I've never SEEN a #countertenor before today. Thank you, #BBC ...and @iestyn_davies #BBCMessiah #TheMessiah #Easter

I've never SEEN a #countertenor sing before. Just saw @iestyn_davies in this #BBC2 #Messiah..now ongoing. Unbelievably beautiful that the male voice can sing in this range. Brought me to tears at the wonder. This revelation is why I pay the license fee #BBC2Messiah #HolySaturday
