Here a case of elsewhere abandoned endoAVF and #BCAVF creation. 2 years later cephalic arch stenosis (SG), occlusion, now subtotal occlusion. Treated with TE, uHPB PTA of whole cephalic vein, & due to significant recoil & residual thrombus/hyperplasia Supera stents. Qa 870ml/min.

I don’t like #BCAVF, I really don’t (hate them 😊). Why? Yes, they mature faster, but the consequences are often after 2-3 years (cephalic arch, non-cannulated areas), and as soon as the first angioplasty or declot starts they bounce back faster with worse lesions than before.

Yesterday ‚twas a typical (or classical) #Gracz #AVF, today it’s a modified one: proximal Ulnar Artery to forearm Cephalic Vein with basilic vein outflow in an #ESRD patient with old failed ipsilateral #BCAVF (proximal to distal algorithm huh? 😊) @wasse_m @jimbog_76

Patient referred 1 week after an externally created #BCAVF when a 3 years old #RCAVF failed, discharged with postoperative massive arm swelling and cannulation difficulties due to ipsilateral pacemaker. #TCVO and cephalic arch stenosis treated with 8mm #Conquest40 HPB & 12mm POBA

Who needs an angio, when you have #bflow 💪🏼 ….. oh, and mad ultrasound skills 🤪. #BCAVF. Cephalic arch with previous stentgraft, now Qa dropped to 350ml/min, PI is at 0.88. Not much at first sight. Peripheral edge stenosis detected by b-flow.
