BC has truly💩the 🛏️ RE: Essential caregiver access. Our research (myself and @CharchuRn) further confirms this. This is certainly an area where Ontario beats BC and @adriandix and Dr. Bonnie Henry need to get their act together on access to residents.

I received a DM about outbreak declaration in long-term care homes, and thought this might be interesting to some. Provincial LTC protocols I have read (i.e. all of them) have an approach to sub-/suspect-/non-outbreak COVID episodes that don’t meet outbreak criteria. Let’s go! 1/

#bcpoli The Little Mountain horror story. How a care worker saw it. This is tragic. Minister of Health should lift the veil on care homes. Give us the figures for all of them. We wish to know where 460 of our citizens died in December.
@DFisman @KimABowie Apparently current numbers are seen by public health as acceptable/inevitable. No additional measures as we are told to “live with the virus”. Last June, at 10 cases a day, feels like a lifetime ago. Beyond depressing.
