Le programme #BESTLife2030, principal instrument européen pour la biodiversité dans les Rup a été initié originellement au Parlement européen. Il prouve non seulement que le Parlement européen a toujours été le lieu des principales avancées pour nos territoires. Ce programme par des financements dédiés, flexibles et adaptés aux réalités de terrain permettent de véritables avancées pour la conservation de la nature dans les Outremers. Le modèle fonctionne. Il faut désormais lui donner les moyens de continuer dans le prochain cadre financier pluriannuel #post2028.
Nos RUP & PTOM abritent 80% de la biodiversité européenne. 🌊🦜 Elles sont en première ligne face au dérèglement climatique. Elles sont aussi les laboratoires du futur. Et sont centrales dans la diplomatie européenne pour les objectifs en matière de biodiversité et de climat 🌍

➡️ Le programme BESTLIFE2030, soutenu par l’Union européenne et coordonné par l’Union Internationale pour la Conservation de la Nature (UICN UE), marque une étape majeure dans la préservation de la biodiversité dans les territoires ultramarins européens. Lors du premier appel à projets, 57 initiatives ont été sélectionnées pour un montant total de 5,5 millions d’euros de subventions européennes. Parmi elles, 28 projets concernent les territoires où l’Office français de la biodiversité (OFB) pilote le déploiement : les #Antilles, l’océan Indien, la #Guyane et #SaintPierreetMiquelon. Ces projets, d’un coût global de 2,6 millions d’euros, visent à restaurer des écosystèmes, protéger des espèces et créer des aires protégées.

➡️ Le programme européen #BESTLIFE2030, initié par l'Union européenne et coordonné par le Bureau régional européen de l'Union internationale pour la conservation de la nature (UICN), a récemment annoncé l’octroi de 1,39 million d’euros pour soutenir 14 projets de conservation de la biodiversité dans la région du Pacifique. Ce financement s'inscrit dans un programme global qui allouera au total 5,57 millions d’euros pour 57 subventions couvrant divers territoires, notamment les Régions ultrapériphériques et les Pays et Territoires d’Outre-mer.
Together, @IUCN and the @EU_Commission have already laid a significant foundation upon which countries can build towards the #30x30 goal.
