The Met Office weather app has Scotland covered in gusts of Beaufort severe gale force 10 to hurricane force 12 on Sunday morning.
It's no wonder they've finally had to issue an AMBER warning.

A rather oddly worded warning.
Notice how UKMO warnings are based on GUSTS ALONE.
They never mention MEAN speeds or GALES.
I like the Met Eireann approach who state both using the Beaufort scale.

There's no doubt #Austen and #Boelo are names that are low in popularity for English names.
But I suppose it makes sense for the @metoffice to use them.
Saves putting up a popular name such as Mohammed for a storm that might prove to be destructive.....
