Reception have been finding out about sustainable fishing. We found out that line fishing allows the fishermen to throw the small fish back into the sea. We measured and sorted bigger fish for our role play fish and chip shop. #bspScience #bspEYFS #bspearlyyears #bspMaths

In RE we have been thinking about our wonderful world. We used viewers to look at small windows of our world. It really helped us focus on the beauty around us. The children have become much more observant of litter and proactive about picking it up. #BSPRE #BSPeyfs

Reception we have been looking at the artist Xgaoc’o X’are who was inspired by Namibian cave paintings. We liked his clearly outlined animals. We learned how to make pastel washes, and created Noah’s Ark themed animal art in pastels, linked to our RE. #bspArt #bspRE #bspEYFS

Reception have been closely observing their snail tank all week. This morning to our surprise one was sitting on top of the tank and had escaped through the air hole! We decided it was time to set them free during forest school today. #bspeyfs

Reception have been making Easter nest cakes, we have been closely observing how the chocolate changed when we heated it up and then when it cooled. We had to be careful mixing in the cornflakes and dropping the mixture into cake cases. Great work! #BSPscience #BSPeyfs
