We are supporting calls on the government to devolve power on taxis and put a stop to ‘out of area’ licensing 🛑 This would give areas more control to drive up standards and support the livelihoods of drivers. #BackingOurTaxis Find out more:( https://t.co/mLpJn6g6FR )

This is exactly what I’ve been demanding since my first parliamentary question nearly a year ago. Andy is absolutely right, we need more local control over taxis in places like Blackpool. We must back our local taxis 🚖 #BackingOurTaxis

In GM, we know we’ve more to do to improve taxi licensing. But our new system won’t work if it can be undermined by out-of-area licences. So we’re launching a bid to change the law. Please ask your council to support the #BackingOurTaxis campaign. 🙏🏻 https://t.co/DMIShj1vQ4
