During my address at the #BakuWaterWeek event, I reiterated that the primary objectives of #agriculture are to ensure #sustainable agricultural development, mitigate the adverse effects of #climate change, and consider climate risks when organising activities.
State support is primarily intended to facilitate the extensive implementation of #innovative and efficient #irrigation systems, as outlined in the Strategic Plan. In this regard, the primary purpose of state support is to ensure efficient use of water resources by encouraging small and medium-sized #farmers to adopt these technologies.
Our goal is to shape the future of agriculture in a more sustainable, #competitive and #climate-resilient way.

During the speech at the #BakuWaterWeek International conference, we highlighted our priorities and plans regarding water management in agriculture. It was emphasised that the gradual replacement of open irrigation networks with closed networks in the agricultural sector and the expansion of the application of modern irrigation systems are urgent issues.
Effective use of water resources and consideration of the impact of climate change are the main principles of sustainable development.
Water management is the foundation of sustainable agriculture.

Water scarcity is a growing crisis that is worsened by impacts of #ClimateChange leaving many communities displaced due to lack of access to water.
