DAY9 | #BaseToBreakout — #AZAD
Started building right after the IPO listing and went on to deliver a 100%+ move.Along the way, it offered multiple opportunities to participate.
But there is another important lesson here.Sometimes a stock starts hitting 5% circuits repeatedly. At that point, liquidity gets crushed and exits become increasingly difficult.
This is where you have to switch from “how much more can I make?” to “how much of my gains can I protect?”
Once liquidity disappears, protecting the majority of the gains can be far more important than trying to squeeze out the last few percent.

The idea is to find names that show exceptional base quality and then demonstrate real urgency to move.
Parameters :
- Quality and orderliness of the consolidation.
- Building Position at Lower Side of Base ( Catching Young Trend )
- How price behaved while building the base.
- What volume did during the breakout.
- How the stock behaved after the initial expansion.
- Whether it sustained a strong trend without repeatedly losing the 20MA.
The bigger objective is to identify names that delivered 30–100+% moves while staying above the 20MA throughout the major part of the move.
I've already shared hundreds of examples around Flags. Now I am Ready to Do this again for folks who want to sit on Bigger % move.
Note: I trade stocks that are already going up.For my long-side trading, the core idea is simple:Buy High. Sell Higher.
So, across all of the names we study, there is already persistent prior buying and an established upward trend.I'm not interested in finding stocks that are falling and trying to predict a reversal. That's the foundation of this entire chart series. Momentum strategies are fundamentally built around buying relative strength and participating in established trends rather than trying to call bottoms.
Suggestions for additional parameters are welcome. Let's build the study together.
DAY8 | #BaseToBreakout — #MU
100%+ Prior Upmove → Supply Zone → Urgency → Pause at Pivot → Expansion leading to 180% Returns
This is where I want to talk a little more about catalysts. In my view, one of the biggest fuels behind this move was the earnings surprise.
In $MU's case, the numbers came in far stronger than expected, 100%+ growth in EPS , Sales . up sharply both QoQ and YoY.
Fundamentals/News don't trigger the trade. They add context and conviction when the price structure is already working. And when both align, one setup can potentially become a much bigger trend than the initial breakout suggests.

DAY7 | #BaseToBreakout — #PARAS
Big Base → Initial Momentum → Mother of All Shakeouts → 60% Move in 2 Weeks
PARAS spent almost a year building a large base before the initial momentum finally kicked in.
Then came the mother of all shakeouts. On 4 June 2024, election-result day, defence stocks were brutally sold as the early election trends came in weaker than expected. Several major defence names fell sharply that day, with the sector becoming one of the biggest casualties of the selloff.
Many traders were simply not willing to take the risk. But this is where momentum trading gets interesting. If there is no risk, there is no reward.
After coming out of such a large base, the stock has high potential for a large expansion because there is a lot of open space above. The key wasn't predicting that the shakeout would reverse. The key was seeing whether price could absorb the selling and regain momentum.
PARAS did exactly that.Within days, the stock delivered a massive move. It was up around 61% in one week by 19 June, while also making fresh highs and seeing a major expansion in volume.
This is more of a courageous trade. You have to be comfortable taking calculated risk when everyone around you is fearful.
The lesson isn't to blindly buy every shakeout. It's to understand that big bases + strong momentum + failed breakdowns can create enormous asymmetric opportunities.

DAY6 | #BaseToBreakout — #ZENTEC
Mini Base → 6 Weeks → Expansion
Peak move without breaking 20MA: 170%
R achieved: 57R
Initial SL: 3%
Momentum attracts more momentum.ZENTEC is a great example of this. The recipe for a great breakout.
-A strong prior uptrend
-followed by a shallow retracement
- then an orderly, tight structure near supply
The fuel was also there.
When price + earnings + sector start aligning, momentum can sustain for much longer than most traders expect. And that's what makes these stocks interesting.
A strong trend doesn't necessarily give you just one entry. It can offer multiple opportunities to participate.

DAY5 | #BaseToBreakout — #SMLMAH
Strong Prior Buying(80%+) → 8 Weeks of Base → Expansion
Technofunda Base
Peak move w/o 20MA Break : 150%
R achieved: 50R
Initial SL: 3%
Classic example of how price reacts to news. For a momentum trader, the news itself isn't enough. The reaction to the news is what matters.
If a stock gets a major catalyst but price refuses to respond, the catalyst is probably of little use for a momentum setup.
Here, the prior momentum immediately puts the stock on the radar. Then came around 8 weeks of consolidation.Meanwhile, the fundamental picture was giving enough evidence to build conviction improving month-on-month sales, earnings momentum and, most importantly, a major catalyst behind the story.
The big catalyst was Mahindra & Mahindra's acquisition of 58.96% of SML Isuzu for ₹555 crore, announced in April 2025. M&M subsequently completed the acquisition and SML was renamed SML Mahindra.
This is how I like to approach momentum names:
-Scan for prior momentum first.
-Then look for the fuel behind the move.
-You don't need to know everything before entering.
-Once the fundamentals provide the fuel, go with price for the entry and let the trend prove itself. When there is a visible fundamental catalyst behind the move, it becomes much easier to sit through volatility and trail the big move.
We are trend riders.

DAY4 | #BaseToBreakout — #OLECTRA
10 Weeks of Base → Expansion → Flag → Another Expansion
Peak move without breaking 20MA: 110%+
R achieved: 50R
Initial SL: ~2%
OLECTRA spent around 10 weeks building its base, followed by an expansion, a flag and then another powerful leg higher.
There is a saying:Momentum attracts more momentum.OLECTRA is a classic example.
Many traders hesitate to buy stocks that have already made a strong move. They keep waiting for a “better price” because buying higher feels uncomfortable.
But the ultimate hack is simple:Buy High. Sell Higher.
Once momentum is established and the stock shows signs of sustaining that momentum, stop giving too much importance to overhead supply or whatever label you want to put on the chart.
Focus on the present. We are trend riders. The job isn't to micromanage every candle. The job is to give a good stock enough room to breathe while managing risk.
And this is where Technical + Fundamental alignment becomes powerful.OLECTRA had multiple fundamental catalysts working alongside the technical structure a large electric-bus order , EV demand and accelerating earnings.
When tech + funda align, don't underestimate what one stock can do. One big winner can do the work that dozens of small trades cannot. But catching that winner requires preparation before the move starts.
This is the Preparation . I hope you all getting some value from this series 🫶

DAY3 | #BaseToBreakout — $SNDK
Mini Base → 5 Weeks of Pause → Another Mega Rally
Peak return without breaking 20MA: 190%
Initial SL: 4%
R achieved: 47R
After a massive 400%+ run, SNDK could have easily gone into a deep correction.Instead, it resisted. The retracement remained shallow , more like profit booking than aggressive distribution.
This is one of the things I always look for when trying to spot big money still being involved. If the stock refuses to give back much after a massive move, pay attention.Sometimes the correction doesn't happen through https://t.co/9dRHVJEGL9 happens through time.
#SNDK spent around 5 weeks moving sideways, allowing the stock to digest the previous move and set up for another leg higher.
And then there are gaps.Don't fear them. Participate in them.If the setup is right, the structure is tight, momentum is intact and the stock gaps up sometimes you should be willing to take slightly more risk.
You're betting with urgent money.Congrats.

DAY2 : #BaseToBreakout - #ELECON
183 Days of Base → Breakout
Peak return without breaking 20MA: 120%
R achieved: 60R
Initial SL: 2%
ELECON spent around 6 months building its base before the eventual breakout. But the interesting part begins when you start spotting momentum inside the base.
A sudden momentum move often signals that something may be happening beneath the surface , a catalyst or accumulation that we may not yet be aware of.After the initial momentum, the stock paused near the pivot and then saw a sharp fall around earnings.
Most traders would probably ignore the setup at this point. It wasn’t an EP. It had fallen hard from the supply pivot. The setup looked damaged and neglected. But the stock didn’t break down further.Instead, it started getting tighter and tighter with time.
That contraction eventually resolved into a major expansion.

DAY1 : #BasetoBreakout - #NETWEB
IPO Base → 130 Days of Basing → Breakout
After listing, NETWEB spent around 130 days building its base, with multiple tests of the supply pivot.Eventually, buyers took control following a gap, with price becoming exceptionally tight near the supply zone.
In base setups, the expectation is to ride the trend, not predict the exact top. One simple way to manage the trend: 10MA / 20MA.
Peak return without breaking 20MA: 67%
R achieved: 22R
Initial SL: 3%
