Can believers achieve a sinless state of perfection while still living in the physical body? #BeYeTransformed The answer is NO. We don’t become sinless but we sin less and less. Once we are saved, we receive a new nature, and sin no longer has dominion over us. As stated in Romans 6:14 NKJV, “For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.” In Christ, we are forgiven and receive the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, who empowers us to overcome the word, flesh, and the devil. However, does this imply that we reach a sinless state of perfection? No. While 1 John 3:9 and 1 John 5:18 in the NKJV and KJV may suggest this, the concept becomes clearer when we examine the ESV and NLT translations. It is important to understand that we do not achieve sinless state of perfection while still living in the flesh. We are justified and sanctified when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. The process of sanctification is also an ongoing and continues throughout our lives. “For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.” Hebrews 10:14 NKJV ( Perfected forever= Justification. Being sanctified = Ongoing work of sanctification) “For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality;” 1 Thessalonians 4:3 NKJV When the Trumpet of the Lord sounds and the Saints resurrect/ raptured, the work of salvation will be complete. At that moment, the redemption of the body will occur, and we will attain the state of sinless perfection. We can still sin after being saved but we have a faithful advocate, Jesus Christ. His blood can cleanse us from any sin and every sin. This concept is also very clear when we study 1 John 1 and 2. Apostle John was writing to the believers around AD 90 to confront the Gnostic heresy. He states, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.” 1 John 1:8-10 NKJV “My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.” I John 2:1-2 NKJV This does not mean that we have to keep going through the sin/ repentance cycle. “Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. II Corinthians 7:1 NKJV May God bless you. @AnointedPosts @Imcg_2 @American_VET2 @drcyrilantony @RealBlakeWebber @ColorsNme4Ever @KathieS90720572 @DaneDe4orest @SoulWorkMSW @SimpleOn_e

#BeYeTransformed

The answer is NO.

We don’t become sinless but we sin less and less.

Once we are saved, we receive a new nature, and sin no longer has dominion over us.

As stated in Romans 6:14 NKJV, “For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.”

In Christ, we are forgiven and receive the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, who empowers us to overcome the word, flesh, and the devil.

“For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.”
Hebrews 10:14 NKJV

( Perfected forever= Justification.
Being sanctified = Ongoing work of sanctification)

“For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality;” 1 Thessalonians 4:3 NKJV

When the Trumpet of the Lord sounds and the Saints resurrect/ raptured, the work of salvation will be complete.

He states,

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.” 1 John 1:8-10 NKJV

“My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.”
I John 2:1-2 NKJV

This does not mean that we have to keep going through the sin/ repentance cycle.

“Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. II Corinthians 7:1 NKJV

May God bless you.
