@kennymunro @AlanMyles8 His reluctance to say anything positive (or indeed anything at all) in support #BearsWay when it was under ferocious attack felt like a betrayal to me, to the point I found it difficult to vote for him on the "West" list (I am in ER).
@AlanMyles8 Thanks for reporting back. Interested to know if there were any consequences for the original mess. As for opclosepass, Milngavie Rd city bound after end of #bearsway Strathblane Rd & Auchenhowie Rd are all pretty hairy at times.
@geologiser @EDCouncil Are any of the Milngavie/Bearsden councillors running surgeries again? Would be interesting if a lot of active travel advocates turned up and went in one after the other to ask when they’re going to do anything eg extend #bearsway.

This is 2022 & nobody with an iota of analytical ability disputes that there is an impending climate, or that encouraging cycling is one of the best ways to improve community health.
And cycling is fun.
Tonight’s adventures on the #bearsway Chap had broken down but managed to miraculously keep going until he was completely blocking the cycle path. Helped him push it so it was half on the pavement meaning bikes could get past & left enough space for pedestrians @bearswayfriends
