And more!!!! I think we should start a drinking game - have a drink 🥃 for every young reporter / photojournalist that benefited with your mentorship and moved on to bigger markets, or stayed in the North. BTW, #BellCuts fu#k you!

Important perspective👇🏽 @lraitt are Ministers then bound to secrecy until it happens or allowed to discuss with colleagues, PM? #cdnpoli #bellcuts

The legislation says need to give 16 weeks notification to employees of a group termination. However this can be waived by application to the Minister.

As someone who has experienced the media layoff world, my thoughts go out to all those people impacted by today's #BellCuts. Thinking of all the hardworking folks who got into media to tell important stories. Brighter days ahead folks, don't let it define you. 💙

I wrote about one of the huge losses resulting from the cuts to local newsrooms: the training grounds my peers and I were so fortunate to have. #BellCuts #journalism https://t.co/cTgTAi80f9

With the creation of @thecriermedia, we are fully funded and are focused on the people, content and making it work - something that major media outlets don't care about. They only care about keeping their share price high and their burn rate low. #BellCuts

Today I went to lunch with a friend… when I got back to my car, #TSN1200 was on ‘alternative programming’. I found it odd. Then my phone blew-up w/ people asking me questions or making comments about the #BellCuts. It’s a very sad day. #ottnews #ottsports #SimmerDown #LeeVer 😢

Unfathomable. Literally the best people in the business, inspiring professionals who have set the tone for everyone else. Just...gone. I know I should be numbed by now to the way this plays out. But still... Sigh... #BellMedia #BellCuts #Bell #CTV #CTVNews #CTVNationalNews

These Bell Cuts ain't right man... So much for their "Let's Talk" day in January. No wonder why they stopped donating 10¢ for every tweet, hashtag & phone call to help spread awareness. Saving money wherever they can... #TSN1260 #TSN1050 #BellCuts
