Good morning! I didn't pay attention to the football yesterday but I gather that it's *not* "coming home"....sorry for your loss.
But I don't care, because more Importantly, I have been sober for 2 whole weeks. I have a Home AA Group & a Zoom AA Group. I am happy. #BensRecovery
Tonight's #BensRecovery dinner is...breakfast! Bacon, sausage, eggs, mushrooms, beans, spinach, and potato waffles...I forgot to get black pudding.
#BensRecovery...so, now I'm finally getting the right meds for my dodgy leg my drug routine looks like this:
3 times a day:
1x co-strong B, 2x Thiamine, 1x Folic acid, 2x acamprosate, 1x co-amoxyclav, 1x Zinc/magnesium
Then once a day:
1x mirtazapine
1x amisulpride
26/day
Base gravy is asimmering....I've done an AA meeting...and now waiting for the GP to call me back about my leg while I sit on the floor with one leg raised at 50°, shovelling seaweed crack in my face and necking coconut water mixed with soda water. :) #BensRecovery
I have had a thoroughly lovely day so far. Met a lovely couple of civilians at @EdibleBristol ...got some oriental supplies on the way home (sorry @waiyeehong you were not en route)...such a feeling of relief from my AA meeting...and now a lovely bottle of this. #BensRecovery
Just had a great AA meting. Really helped me cement step 2 and 3...now get a sponsor and work on step 4 which I suspect is going to be a heart wrencher. ❤ #BensRecovery
Have just serviced The Ninja... now cycling is added back in the exercise list. 1 day run, 1 day cycle, 1 rest day. :) #BensRecovery
Good morning. 10th day sober and I am grateful.
Nothing but my usual antidepressant/anxiety (mirtazapine).
Slept solidly for 6 hours...which is "normal" for me. I'm back in the game boys!
Today's main task is tackling Detox Dermatitis (yes it's a thing). #BensRecovery

Persian chicken & potato stew with roasted tomatoes and a pomegranate & tamarind sauce. Orange scented freekeh, mixed salad, and toasted pitta with sour cream/lime/chilli dressing.
Yes. It does taste fucking amazing! #BensRecovery
This evening for my #BensRecovery dinner I am making: Persian roast chicken & potatoes, with orange blossom freezer, charred spring onions and salad.
Boom!
Don't have a meeting until 12:30...so I'm going for a run then listening to a podcast about addiction...who even a. I now? #BensRecovery 😀
This afternoon's #selfcare....bit of a walk through a woods to go meet a civilian* mate for a good chat and some planning. A decent 4k round trip. #BensRecovery
*civilians are what I call anyone who doesn't identify as (or isn't) an alcoholic. :)
