Popular or unpopular opinion? I really wanna know what people think but let me start. I'll be transparent.
Talking about the 1000 top players here.
First, Trophy Packs are NFTs. You'll be able to trade them for real value if you don't want to open them for some $WF. This is actually the most important part.
The team has developed an exclusive system to reward players with the opportunity to obtain potential real liquidity with these assets, even before TGE. Trade a token before TGE, or get the thrill of some openings. Come on, man! I like it!
It's actually easy to calculate the total number of packs, the average amount of $WF per rank, and the total amount of $WF distributed for 1,000 hard workers. It'sโฆ generous. Check it out, you might like it.
I see players complaining about not extending the number of qualified persons for these rewards. I also remember players complaining about too many qualified people during play-to-airdrop seasons. No matter what decision is made, you'll gain some friends and lose others. It's impossible to please everyone, that's just how it is.
Reminder: There have been two Play-to-Airdrop events where thousands of players qualified for millions in $WF token allocations. P2A Seasons were built as a wide adoption period. It's now the era of grinders, dude.
I understand some people's concerns, and it's important to recognize that rewarding only the top 1,000 players can seem discouraging for newcomers or free-to-play players. However, it's crucial to reward the hardcore ones while also maintaining a balanced and healthy distribution. Players have now spent many resources in the game. I'm talking about time, money, $WF, but also sweat, strategies, energy, and sometimes mental health haha! Again, rewarding 1,000 players with such substantial $WF amounts is quite generous.
At the same time, this approach aims to help maintain a certain token value, which should benefit the entire community in the end, no? Want to win 100 $WF every win? Dump your shitcoins, brother. You'll get a trend, but a dead game. It's actually way easier to start slow and then open the doors wider. The other way is much more difficult, and potentially risky to me. If youโre looking for "quick wins", Wild Forest might not be the game for that. But starting slowly and growing steadily is the smarter approach in my opinion.
Wild Forest aims to be for absolutely everyone and really is. It's a completely free-to-play game.
Letโs be real: no one wants to play a web3 game for nothing. But the reality is, no one here is playing for nothing. We're still talking about a game where you actually generate assets and build potential profits as soon as you start playing, even at the very beginning. It's crucial to remember that all players, including newcomers who join the game now, are earning valuable assets through Unit NFTs that have market value. Different rarities of Unit NFTs but also Shards, Gold, Skins, and even $WF with PBP.
Everyone has a chance to grow within the game over time.
I feel like Wild Forest is honestly a game you can play for fun, or take very seriously and aim for big things! Every player profile can be represented. In the end, the resources (all) you put in will lead to adequate rewards. Thatโs the vision.
One thing for sure. This is not a game where you can freely multi-account and earn dollars upon dollars every day "pretty easily". Weโre past that phase. We're not in 2021 anymore. Those vibes are cool for a two-week summer hit that comes and goes. Wild Forest isn't built like this.
Finally, nobody's perfect. This system isn't perfect. No "play-to-earn" web3 game system is flawless. But weโre in the early stages, building and improving as we go. We are walking on the mood and it is exciting.
I'm glad I'm witnessing the birth of the best web3 game I've ever played. Never had such conviction, even back in 2020.
I am amazed every day to see how extraordinary the community is, which is the craziest and most precious resource EVER. The Forest is blessed.
