Nepal Flood: Anand Couple Bimal Patel & Jaimina Patel Remain Uncontactable | Gujarat | TV9Gujarati

@Sourav_RB Just the excuse for government to pull down LBZ. And get #BimalPatel to design multi-storey flats that are free of #vastudosh!
An eminent Indian jurist, #BimalPatel, has been elected as Judge of the International Tribunal of the Law of the Sea (#ITLOS). Patel is a Member of the UN International Law Commission, Chairman of the Working Group on Succession of States in respect of State Responsibility, and Vice-Chancellor and Professor of Public International Law at Rashtriya Raksha University. #UnitedNations https://t.co/oQOV4OUjA4
This is an excellent analysis by #AlpanaKishore of #BimalPatel’s bizarre approach to heritage-development by erasure!! It spares neither the environmental nor culturally shared spaces. With the case of #KashiVishwanathCorridor project @newslaundry explores the “bubble development”- dvlpt that turns a blind eye to the reality of a site- its history, cultural specificity and multivocality. Instead it creates in a small isolated geography an illusion of modernity, a “neat” experience. This dvlpt, based on western paradigms and experiences from European countries, speaks to nothing arnd it, nothing quite Indian.
Its endorsement by the Prime Minister is sad because a modern, “fast-growing nation” like ours ought to be more confident about its ability to shoulder the responsibility of past while moving forward. Instead it seems like we are simply copying answers from others’ papers.
This is the SAME approach to other projects by #BimalPatel including the #PuneRiverfrontDevelopment
Read-
“A non-negotiable of this ‘modernisation’ mission is the ‘clean slate’ requirement that demands complete destruction. Every single thing on the land must be demolished to ensure a clean piece of land to build something new. This leaves no place for conservation. Zero worth is assigned to old neighbourhoods, generational settlements, trees or heritage.”

Will The New Sabarmati Ashram Remain True To Bapu’s Legacy?
Will people accept the changes being made to the #Sabarmatiashram? DH takes a deep dive into the redevelopment led by #BimalPatel, #Modi's builder.
The other qualities of this Gujarati is :- pic 1
after which he was awarded the Padma Shri! :- pic 2
Instead of cribbing out here go and visit some places & see his remarkable work
Unreasonable rant 🤡
#BimalPatel
Bimal Patel is building everything:
Kashi Vishwanath
Parliament
Kartavya Path
Central Vista
IIM Ahmedabad new campus
Sabarmati Riverfront
Gujarat High Court
Gandhi Ashram redevelopment
Mumbai Eastern Waterfront
And what not…
He is creating ugly, soulless red stone marriage halls with barely any green cover!
And now this Central Secretariat complex as part of Central Vista.
The only quality Bimal Patel seems to have is that he is from Gujarat!
It is strange how ongoing #PuneRFD designed by #BimalPatel is so close to #OshoTeerthPark which is nothing but a beautiful version of #RFD except that it is along a natural stream that was once called a Nallah. Located in Koregaon Park, the place is a must visit if you are in Pune.
@PMOIndia had once urged Indians to think local but sadly the #PuneRFD is not local vision. Look at what Osho’s team achieved decades ago by carefully understanding the topography, water treatment, native biodiversity and what being by the side of a flowing water body should feel like. Little spaces to sit and reflect, be with nature. Today it is rich in bird life and tree diversity!
This is what “development” should be!! Building spaces for now and the future where ple can be , get away from the noise and learn from the nature.
Sadly #BimalPatel’s vision of #PuneRFD forced on Punekars by the central and state govt and @PMCPune will end up being a glorified chowpatty, much like what happened to Vriddheshwar ghat in past decade. 🤷🏻♀️ I have to add that he and @CMOMaharashtra were given an alternative local vision by @PuneRivers but that vision will be more cost effective and less money-making for contrcators.
Anyway, see what rfd could look like by example of #OshoTeerthPark in these pics

I’m afraid I don’t agree in the infra collapse being predictable and repetitive. I’ve never heard of a leaking Parliament roof or a collapsed Delhi airport roof taking the life of a taxi driver.
#bimalpatel #CentralVista #delhirain #delhicoachingtragedy
What are the 4 most predictable things that happen in Delhi every year?
1. The city leaks, cracks and sinks when it rains.
2. Delhiites become outraged.
3. Courts intervene, inquires ordered & red alerts issued.
4. No one cares once the monsoons are gone.
In that sequence.
