1. “Good” CPI? Doesn’t Matter.
March CPI came in at 2.4%, down from 2.8% in Feb.
Normally that’s a green light for bulls.
But the market didn’t rally.
It dumped.

2. Trump vs China: Tariff War 2.0
Markets got smacked with this:
• Trump slapped a 125% tariff on Chinese goods
• China hit back: 84% on US exports
• Then Trump added another 20% for “fentanyl sanctions”
=> 145% total tariffs
Global trade? Wrecked.
Supply chains? Screwed.
Inflation risk? Back on.
3. The Fed’s Now Trapped
CPI is cooling now
But tariffs could spike inflation later
So the Fed’s stuck:
• Cut rates? Might fuel new inflation
• Hike again? Risk full-on recession
No one knows what Powell will do — and markets HATE uncertainty.

Markets were priced for a soft landing:
• Inflation cooling
• Rate cuts expected
