@AniaPerkowska @KatherineFirkin @MicrosoftHelps @Microsoft They just told me to talk to Dell, too. And Dell said to talk to @MicrosoftHelps. Most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. #BitlockerProblem
@KatherineFirkin @MicrosoftHelps @Microsoft I have exactly the same problem and having spoken to Dell, they say it’s a Microsoft issue 🤬 Seems like the two companies are just pushing the buck, whilst users are locked out of their laptops and unable to work #BitlockerProblem
@RecipeForPerfec @dmcculloch55 @MicrosoftHelps How did you do that? Just spoke to Dell support who told me the only solution is to wipe the hard drive 🤬 #bitlocker #bitlockerproblem
@pastryphile @MicrosoftHelps I have the same issue this morning since Windows update. Spoke to @DellCares, only solution offered is to wipe my hard drive and loose all my files. Unacceptable 🤬 #bitlocker #bitlockerproblem
@Brandon26951275 @DellCares I had the #BitlockerProblem too, @MicrosoftHelps didn't help do anything but tell me to reinstall Windows and lose all the data.
So file recovery / backup options are out of the question too..because obviously I need a #BitlockerProblem #bitlocker recovery password to load the OS / attempt data recovery. I wonder where this non-existent password might be 🤔 .... @MicrosoftHelps Plz give us a fix 🙏🙏
So am essentially f*cked due to this #BitlockerProblem #bitlocker ..my laptop doesn't list my system restore points anymore & I don't have this non-existent recovery password. So unless @MicrosoftHelps @Microsoft issues a fix, I've lost all my data 😭😭😭 plz rt to amplify ...
Anybody here ever run into bit locker issues? I never enabled it and now my drive is locked. Since I never enabled bitlocker, I don't have a recovery password which is needed to unlock the drive 🥲🥲

@RecipeForPerfec @MicrosoftHelps Thanks. Katie. Your response is much appreciated. 🙏
But honestly if @Microsoft is suggesting to reinstall and lose all the data (for something which customer has not done anything), then clean solution would be to never buy a windows device, ever in life.
#BitlockerProblem
@RecipeForPerfec @MicrosoftHelps I was going to try that...but maybe best to hold off for a proper fix now that I've read about your experience of reinstalling. We're between a rock and a hard place. I'm not hopeful. #bitlockerproblem

@dmcculloch55 @Microsoft @Windows I had the same thing. #BitlockerProblem @MicrosoftHelps I ended up having to reinstall Windows again and lost all my data. Hopefully my cloud backup will have most of it. This is a mess and they should absolutely have a better fix.
