Cllr Nokuzola Kolwapi of the Ikhwezi Political Movement (IPM) has been elected as Executive Deputy Mayor of the Bitou Council following the motion of no confidence in Cllr Mavis Busakwe of the AUF at today's Special Council Meeting.

DA councillor Bill Nel has been elected as the Whip of Council. Nel received 7 votes while Sandiso Gcabayi received 6 votes.
