Union Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India and Bongaon MP from BJP, Shantanu Thakur says that he will apply for Indian citizenship through CAA.
The CAA portal says that it requires verified documents from either Bangladesh, Pakistan or Afghanistan which proves that Shantanu Thakur is a Bangladeshi citizen.
Will the Prime Minister face the country now? Why has been a Bangladeshi citizen appointed as a Union Minister of India and why was he given a Lok Sabha ticket despite knowing that he isn't a citizen of India.
Shantanu Thakur won in 2019 and was appointed as a Union Minister in 2021 while CAA was announced in 24.
This is a serious threat to our country where Bangladeshi citizens are being made Union Ministers and MPs!!!!
The Bharatiya Janata Party calls every Bengali as Bangladeshi, Rohingya whereas their own Union Minister is a Bangladeshi citizen.
