Stand in solidarity with @BlkCdnSA and #BlackAtCongress. Slow responses to longstanding demands are disarming not #antiracist. It's really not okay @ideas_idees #Congressh2021 (I have withdrawn the workshop I was invited to give). #alliesnotapologists
I just remembered, today made 1 year since #BlackAtCongress. This is no way to take away from our current moment but to add to it and to demonstrate how nothing has changed.
We been about this fight, pointing out the overt and many times covert racism in the system.

We call on other associations to withdraw from Congress 2020 before the March 27th deadline and join our demand that The Federation @ideas_idees and @WesternU cancel the event!
Here is our statement regarding #Congressh2020 today on the #InternationalDayForTheEliminationOfRacialDiscrimination

Someone sent this to me today and I donโt know if I should feel honored or stressed. ๐ #Blackatcongress
spotted a familiar face during Dr. Malinda Smithโs talk tonight at @smuhalifax: Why Diversity, Decolonization and Intersectional Equity Matter in Canadian Universities.. hey @pagingdrdaddy! #BlackAtCongress

#Congress2020 #BlackAtCongress #Congress2019
The Federation @ideas_idees has agreed to meet the demands of the BCSA following the #blackatcongress events.
I still wait on the Federation to release the report from an investigation which they subjected me to as well as reparation and recompense of some kind.
@pagingdrdaddy @ideas_idees The Federation @ideas_idees has still not shared the 'investigators' report with @pagingdrdaddy... and this is not ok! #BlackAtCongress #Congress2020 So, while our demands have been met the fight continues - in all academic spaces. How will #Congress2020 be different?
@nnath @pagingdrdaddy @OmiSooreDryden I just had that thought when I received the request to complete the survey. #blackatcongress certainly needs to feature in there!
We gotta do this work yโall & hold EVERY1 accountable. We gotta be the resistance. We gotta be activists standing against antiblack racism not just from @ideas_idees but from the unidentified accusers and the assocs that have not shown solidarity and NAMED THEM! #blackatcongress
Can you imagine how many other Black people theyโve called the police on or will call the police on? Can you imagine how many #blackatcongress incidents theyโve been a part of?
Then I remembered a tweet by @OmiSooreDryden mentioning the probability of people knowing the names of the two accusers during the #blackatcongress but failing to identify them and give them over to the public.
Update: I have spoken w/ the investigator chosen by the Federation to conduct the investigation into #blackatcongress. There are a few things you should know. One in particular which sounds a lot like the Mueller Rrprt.
Thank you 2the associations/individual colleagues who continue 2write letters and reach out to us! We will respond to your emails. We are still waiting to hear from Federation re: our demands. We will keep u posted! #BlackAtCongress #Congressh2019 #Congressh2020 @ideas_idees
@ideas_idees reserves the right to only provide a summary (w/ redactions) of the report to myself. There is no promise that the summary will contain the name of the accuser or the recommendations made by the investigator. #blackatcongress
