#PortaMetrics #BlastAnalysis
A "GM" on 𝕏 has become the norm.
But a good GM campaign can be leveraged easily to increase awareness around you or your company.
Today's #BlastAnalysis looks at the GM CAMPAIGN STRATEGY of @SyndicateNTWRK, one of our favorite Web3 news providers.
GM or not, let's go 🤭

Do you like money?
If you know about @UltimateApp, chances are @Henry_DeFi asked you this question at some conference or event.
Turns out their marketing goes beyond shiny stickers!
This week's #BlastAnalysis reviews their "dApp of the week" Twitter campaign! 🧵

Buying a home is "The American Dream”
But the real estate market in the USA is broken and affording a home is harder than ever.
Today's #BlastAnalysis reviews the MARKETING STRATEGY of @HomebaseDAO who are working to make investing in retail property attainable.
Let's review!
What is Homebase?
Homebase allows anyone in the USA to invest in real estate starting with just $100, aiming to help those priced out of the market attain wealth via fractional ownership in residential properties.
Managed by Homebase, fractional owners earn direct monthly rental income, bypassing traditional home buying hassles. They prioritize compliance due to intense government oversight, making them trailblazers in this regard.
In the past 6 months they’ve launched their platform and fractionalized and sold over $430k of real estate. We love what they’re doing, and recently dug into their marketing and communications.
The Strategy We Can See 👀
Currently Homebase is utilizing multiple platforms - Twitter, Medium, Discord, and LinkedIn - as their marketing and communication channels.
At present, because traditionally crypto/Web3 lives and breathes here, it makes sense that Homebase has applied the majority of their efforts to Twitter. They usually post to their timeline multiple times per day - some content gets engagement, while a lot of it doesn’t.
They have a Medium account which has been publishing posts since May 2022, showing they’ve been working on the platform and service for quite some time. They have been posting a bit more recently, about an article per month, with the majority being released last year.
Their LinkedIn account has very little activity, with many month periods between posts or articles.
Discord, where many crypto communities congregate, feels somewhat neglected with not many announcements or activity.
Initial Analysis, By Category
We love their multi-channel approach, it’s something we often recommend to startups in crypto, partially because it helps widen the marketing funnel and opens up more opportunities to onboard new users into the Web3 space.
Twitter: >5k followers
The @HomebaseDAO Twitter account posts almost daily, often sharing insights and nuggets of information which make people think. They also put out threads regularly about their product and the ecosystem and markets. The communication style is well done; in clear understandable language. They often use punchy first lines in their posts, which grab the attention of viewers.
We really like the way they are visually communicating through their banner and bio, it’s synergistic and looks professional.
When scrolling through their timeline though, a few things stick out to us:
1. Images in the first posts of threads:
They would organically improve engagements on their threads because this would help grab the attention of viewers, as many people will just scroll past when they see a single line trying to lure them into clicking through to read.
2. More imagery: specifically custom and/or branded imagery for their posts and more imagery in general will reap big rewards. They use some occasionally, but more often than not they are screenshotting different graphs or articles, or simply not including images in their posts. This would elevate the content they are clearly putting good effort into.
3. Reply guy action: Twitter is all about conversations and connections now that Elon has taken over. The reality is that in order to get more eyes on your account on Twitter, you need to be replying to people. In the past few weeks, Homebase has not replied to other accounts' posts.
4. Proofreading: we caught a few typos and misfires on word selection. The algorithm punishes currently for that, and the viewer may jump to false conclusions as well. The writing and communication style is clear and well done, it’s a shame to see content lose traction due to a simple mistake. Attention to details! 🤝
These four suggestions would vastly improve their return-on-efforts.
We’d also recommend setting up a content calendar to stay organized and consistent and considering hosting a bi-weekly or monthly spaces where they could invite other platforms which work in the real-world-asset (RWAs) realm.
Medium: 29 subscribers
We love that they’re writing articles, it shows a dedication to their mission and what they’re building. Some of the recommendations for Twitter apply here too; branded imagery specifically.
We like the variety in their articles like product updates and market analysis.
When scrolling through their Medium, the main thing that sticks out is the frequency of articles. It's important to stay consistent, even if the length of the articles are shorter. If they are going to use Medium, more articles of the same quality will help keep Homebase top of mind with the subscribed readers.
We’d recommend they produce and post more articles to improve their search-engine-optimization (SEO). General high level articles on RWAs and their product will boost SEO rankings - more articles = better optimization.
Discord: < 300 members
Currently their Discord is a bit neglected.
We’d recommend keeping the announcements consistent, offering office hours or AMAs with their community, and generally engaging more in the chat channels.
Considering the low activity and having a target market which is more Web2 and less crypto-aware, we’d probably recommend making more of the channels read only and information/education focused with just one or two channels where new users can ask questions or be assisted with onboarding. The Discord can always be grown and expanded, but it shouldn’t be left feeling like a forgotten space as its purpose should be to foster community.
We’re not sure if their target market would really benefit from a robust Discord server, so we’d recommend either streamlining it very well or closing it altogether.
LinkedIn: 878 followers
We really like that they have their LinkedIn setup, and it's professional.
They have the team and founders linked on the page, which builds trust in the crypto space.
We like that they have “Funding via Crunchbase” on their profile as it's a reputation builder also.
For onboarding new people into the Web3 space - which Homebase is uniquely positioned to do - we think this LinkedIn homepage setup is ideal.
Our first suggestion here would be to simply post more, and use branded imagery.
Right now they have only 2 posts in total which are viewable from their homepage - so the account feels neglected.
Opportunities:
1. The first big glaring opportunity we see is LinkedIn.
They already have a network of 878 followers.
LinkedIn is home to “professionals”, and in the USA where many young American professionals have accounts and are active, we’d recommend they get more consistent with posts and articles.
The co-founders and listed employees have an overall network of over 10,000 connections on LinkedIn - this network could be leveraged via reposting to their main profiles, and engaging with Homebase posts.
Their target audience is young Americans who have been priced out of the housing market. We feel posting about Homebase and raising awareness on LinkedIn would funnel more precise target consumers into their platform.
2. Twitter is a pre-requisite for a Web3 company, but it doesn’t have to solely target the Web3 crowd. At the moment, @HomebaseDAO is mostly “speaking to” the Solana crowd, and a bit more broadly to the real-estate crowd. We think they could target less traditional crypto users, and more general “young American professionals” via a variety of content which would resonate with them.
We also would recommend weekly recurring content; things people could look forward to and expect for insights and education on the housing market, RWAs, and beyond.
Furthermore, they’re putting most of the public facing marketing efforts into Twitter, while many more “young American professionals” use Instagram.
3. Instagram is home to >143 Million American users, while Twitter boasts 95.4 Million.
That’s just over 50% more users, which would provide a larger funnel for them to bring users through. We’d recommend spinning up an account and cross posting their content from Twitter into Instagram. This would require improving their visual communication as Instagram lends itself best to visual content.
4. As previously mentioned, we believe they should put some focus into SEO by producing more articles, wherever they want to host them, like “How do I invest in real estate without buying a home?”. Creating more basic articles with strategic keyword selection would improve their searchability.
5. Partnerships and collaborations seem to be something Homebase hasn’t pursued yet.
We’d highly recommend this, both with Web2 and Web3 companies. A basic and reliable crypto-marketing tactic is collaborating with other projects to boost visibility - the more you get featured on other companies social media accounts in the ecosystem, the easier it is to get exposed to new users. Finding other RWA focused platforms and real estate investment communities are two potential avenues to find partners to work alongside.
Conclusion
We love what @HomebaseDAO is doing. We want to see them grow and flourish.
We believe their target market is not necessarily Solana degens but rather middle-income young Americans and professionals who have been told their whole lives to invest in real estate but now have their options limited due to inventory, inflation, and gross interest rates.
Home buying has never felt less unattainable for young Americans, and we believe Homebase can help change this with their mission and pioneering platform.
We hope this post was informative and has some actionable insights for projects inside and outside of Web3.
