In a new violation targeting civilians, members of what is called the “General Security” stormed the village of Blein in the Masyaf countryside this afternoon, imposing a siege on the village and opening fire while chasing its young men in the surrounding farmlands.
Our sources reported that reinforcements from Hama arrived to support the attacking force, and that the raid resulted in the arrest of more than ten young men, in addition to one citizen being shot in the leg.
Residents also pointed to the deployment of armed vehicles in the center of the village and the burning of the western valley, alongside house searches and threats to residents to prevent them from filming or making calls. The sources confirmed that heavy gunfire continued during the pursuit of the young men in the surrounding lands.
The village remains under siege to this moment, with ongoing violations taking place.
