Beyers Naude, Windsor and Fontainebleau Substations lost power supply affecting Block 14, Block 15 and Block 16.
City Power confirmed the issue is on Eskom side due to a tripped line and Eskom operators have been dispatched.

City Power has been notified that Beyers Naude, Windsor and Fontainebleau Substations lost power supply affecting Block 14, Block 15 and Block 16.
My guess the issue is on Eskom side due to the wide scale outage. City Power will investigate and contact Eskom if need be.

1️⃣Northriding 11kv substation,Tourmaline distributor: Tripped on earth fault affecting customers in Sundowner and surrounding areas Operators have isolated the fault and partially restored, the remaining that is off will be backfed to Olivenhout 1225 distributor.
2️⃣Randburg 11kv substation, Hawken 9/10 distributor:
Tripped on earth fault affecting customers in Boskruin & Bromhof. Operators will attend to the outage after completing the task at hand for Northriding SS.
3️⃣ Beyers Naude SS suspected Gayfield or Essenhout distributor tripped affectings Parts of Boskruin and Randpark Ridge. City Power will investigate after completing tasks at Northriding and Randburg SS.
4️⃣ Kensington B Outage

Dear Residents,
I want to provide you with the latest update regarding the ongoing power outages in our area. I had another conversation with the depot manager few minutes ago,seeking a transparent update on the situation. I emphasized the need for an honest assessment, as it is crucial for us to understand the real challenges we are facing.
The depot manager has confirmed that the outlook for resolving the various outages tonight is not promising. Despite her request for additional resources, the reality is that City Power staff is overworked and exhausted, grappling with the high volume of outages the depot is experiencing.
However, she has assured me that she will continue to push for progress and will provide updates if there are any positive developments.
I understand this news is disheartening. It’s important that we, as a community, stay informed about the reality of our situation so we can manage our expectations and plan accordingly. Please know that I share your frustration and am committed to doing everything within my power to facilitate a quicker resolution.
As always, I encourage you to reach out to me with any concerns or information you may have regarding the outages or related issues. Your input is valuable in navigating these challenges.

Unfortunately, it appears that there has been no significant progress on City Power resolving the current outages. I have spoken with the depot manager, who confirmed that they had very limited resources last night, which has impeded their ability to address these issues promptly.
I have re-escalated these matters and am awaiting further updates. Here's the current status of the outages:
1️⃣ Northriding Quorn Distributor (affecting parts of Sundowner): It has come to our attention that there is a vandalised mini substation in this area, further complicating the outage.
2️⃣ Northriding 475 Distributor (Precision Switching Station affecting parts of Kya Sand and Northriding AH):
This remains an ongoing concern.
3️⃣ Northriding Taurus Distributor (affecting parts of Sundowner and Randpark Ridge): Continues to be affected.
4️⃣ Randburg 9/10 Distributor (affecting Boskruin): This issue is still unresolved.
I will provide further updates as soon as they become available.
