Fuck it Spider-Man:Brand New Day Full Letterboxd Review 🕸️#BlueCheckBidness✔️ Yeahhhh, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man films have had their ups and downs. What’s been a CONSTANT though, is Tom’s perfect portrayal. Since Homecoming, he’s had the look, charisma, and it factor. Brand New Day continues this excellence but also cements his status. His status as the best Spider-Man to ever grace the big screen. He left it all on the court man, what a fucking performance. Talk bout my brudda niceeeeee!! Destin Daniel Cretton… where do I even start?! The key word of this amazing film is BALANCE, something many comic book films deeply lack. Brand New Day has a great balance between Peter Parker and the persona of Spider-Man. It also strikes a great balance between a street-level Spidey vibe and the overarching MCU conflicts. In the past, I’ve had issues with the excessive nature of MCU-related plotlines. Glad Destin was able to find that balance this time around. So much sauce on display man. Every swinging and combat scene was elite! And don’t get me started on those in suit shots… #wow. The suit was beautiful and really brought Spidey back to his roots. The cinematography and color grading were masterful as well! The sincerity did a number on me, I shed a few thug tears fasho! That third act was powerful wtf, No doubt the best Spider-Man film since Tobey’s Spider-Man 2. Of course Tom was the standout but this entire cast was great. Loved the dynamic between Frank and Peter. Word to Jon Bernthal, deadass born to play the Punisher. Hulk finally got some justice after many down years, Mark Ruffalo you cooked brudda. Sadie Sink was incredible, a future star in the making. Plus Zendaya, Tramell, Mando… #TakeABow!!
