As a result my #bodyfail has been really bad for the past 3 weeks or so. I hope that Covid-impacted lists allow the next one to be back in the shorter cycle if they can't get the big operation listed before then. Repeatedly having to go through these operations is dangerous, 5/8
Today I clambered past #pain #bodyfail & #dysfunction & wiped 5 years of dust off bookshelves; books; tables; ornaments; desk etc; I showered & hairwashed for 1st time this week; sorted, & filed or threw out piles of old papers and leaflets; I paid bills; I did some laundary 1/2
Yesterday I managed to go outside my flat not to a hospital for the first time since December 😁 I made it to our vast communal garden & sat bathed in birdsong & brimstone butterflies. It was impossibly beautiful
Sadly today I’m paying for it with #bodyfail but it was worth it
It’s lovely to hear the dawn chorus, but I’m old & I’d rather wake TO it than still be awake FOR it. Clearly pain; meds; #bodyfail & vertigo don’t help achieve sleep. (Please don’t witter at me about ‘sleep hygiene’ you’ll make me cross & you won’t like me this tired *and* cross

so after being discharged still in agony 6 days ago, had to have emergency specialist outpatient appt today & must now be readmitted on Friday for emergency procedure under GA. Because noone on ward would listen. So so sick of this #criplife #destroyedlife #bodyfail #nhsfail
