JASPER KOEHLER RALEIGH, 20, of mom's basement in south Minneapolis has been charged with felony counts of 1st and 3rd degree drug possession (+50 and +10 grams or more, respectively), and a misdemeanor count of DWI. Charges say State Patrol found Raleigh's vehicle severely damaged in a crash on I-94 near Huron Blvd over the weekend. A witness told 911 that the sedan had hit a couple of signs, rolled over, and came to a rest on its wheels. MFD and police observed that Raleigh and his occupant appeared to be intoxicated. Raleigh was clutching a backpack and had a satchel slung on his body. Raleigh failed several field sobriety tests, but his PBT was 0.00. Officers obtained a warrant for a blood and urine sample which Raleigh complied with [results pending]. During a search incident to arrest, the following items were found in the vehicle and on Raleigh's person: · A small digital scale was recovered in the front passenger side area of the car but left in the vehicle. · A jar filled with a waxlike substance believed to be concentrated THC. · In the back passenger compartment a large amount of small baggies were found and left in the vehicle. · In the trunk a plastic grocery bag was found and inside of it 2 large bags of Marijuana were recovered. One bag obtained 54.5 grams and the other bag obtained 64.5 grams. · Two concentrated THC marijuana wax vape pens were recovered in the car. One right outside the driver’s door and the other in the passenger side compartment. A search incident to arrest of Raleigh revealed the following: · A small satchel on his person contained 130 pills in an unlabeled pill container identified through drugs[dot]com to be Lisdexamfetamine, an ADHD medication. A search of Raleigh’s wallet prior to booking into jail revealed the following: · 2 pills inside of a small plastic baggie later identified on drugs[dot]com to be Xanax and Lisdexafetamine. A Spongebob Squarepants bag was recovered inside of the main compartment of the backpack that contained multiple baggies. Inside the Spongebob Squarepants pack were multiple bags of a white powdery substance that was later NIK tested to be positive for Cocaine. · The first bag contained a white powdery substance later NIK tested positive for cocaine with a net weight of 22.8 grams. The bag also contained a spoon and 2 one-dollar bills. · The second bag contained a hard resin like rock that was later NIK tested positive for crack cocaine with a net weight of 53.1 Grams. · The third bag contained a dollar bill and a white powdery substance later NIK tested positive for cocaine with a net weight of 63 Grams. Raleigh remains in custody on $50,000 bail with his first court appearance scheduled for Tuesday.
