Quay Books Limerick is delighted to announce that we are one of the recipients of the Books At One Community Prize Fund #BooksAtOneCommunityFund. This wonderful initiative from @books_at_one is a unique community engagement that reimagines how bookshops can serve as creative and social hubs across Ireland. We are delighted to be chosen to participate.

That is just not a sweet phrase. We believe in it...completely.
We love books, stories. We like free, open, passionate universes, and those who dare to live in them.
That is why we run a small bookstore near Sarsfield Bridge, Limerick, where we try to make different books and other ideas possible.
Through a series of events over the coming months, we will implement this philosophy and make it a reality. We will host events and activities which emerge organically, with lots of room for spontaneity and creativity.
A bookstore is shelter, oxygen, a caress, knowledge, joy, surprise, a conversation, discovery, someone once said. That is very true. In the coming months, through our programme, you will hear from people for whom a book is oxygen or a caress. We are excited to bring this initiative to life through a host of community-driven ideas and events. It would not be possible for us to do this without the generous funding from the #BooksAtOneCommunityFund

This will allow me to add to next year's Dromore Book Festival in ways that self-funding didn't permit this year!
