We also place a wreath on Ben’s Bench at this time in Southampton Sports Centre where he used to train when home from duty. It’s a peaceful place where you often see Buzzards flying overhead. Military History - OTD - 28th February 1925 - Royal Marine Commando Harry H Corbett #RoyalMarines #Bootneck February 28th 1925: The birth of actor, comedian and former Royal Marines Commando, Harry H Corbett. Probably best known for playing Harold in the long-running TV show 'Steptoe and son' 1962-1974, and in films including Carry On Screaming and Jabberwocky. When he was demobbed from the Marines, he trained as a radiographer, before becoming a full time actor - adding an extra 'H' to his name as not to be confused with Sooty's handler Harry Corbett.
