Nella stessa giornata, sempre su GitHub, ne compariva uno analogo funzionante su iPhone 11 Pro con iOS 27 beta, che porta ad un #jailbreak.
Nel laboratorio #Forenser - per fini scientifici e di validazione dei metodi utilizzati per produrre copie forensi - abbiamo intanto completato con successo la prima porta di quella stessa catena su un iPhone XS di test, utilizzando un #Raspberry Pi Pico di prima generazione, che la documentazione originale segnalava come instabile.
Nel nuovo articolo pubblicato sul sito web il team #Forenser racconta cosa questo scenario apre in termini di acquisizione forense e perché, nonostante la vulnerabilità BootROM sia scolpita nel silicio e non sia direttamente risolvibile via aggiornamento, l'accesso effettivo ai dati sulle release iOS più recenti non è né automatico né immediato ed Apple può comunque rilasciare delle patch.
