Three days of #XPremium remain, and still not a single offer from their #BotSupport team, despite my 13 years of free land+space 50,000+ posting-evangelism on X/Twitter. Does X care about micro-influencers like us? No? Even worse, there has also been no meaningful growth in my follower base since they changed the algorithm. I've been stuck at 8K for three years now. My reach is always 20 times lower than it was back in the Twitter days. Back then, things were better. Twitter obviously was reducing our reach when one of us, astronomy bloggers, suddenly started posting about ...cats or Vitamin D back then in 2021? No, I simply cannot justify paying them money just to exercise my ...free speech 😂 in full length and publish my own work as an hobbyist, especially when X experiences a noticeable rise in quality through my (re)tweets, and suddenly becomes more interesting for many other fellows. For us amateur astronomy evangelists, everything here (incl. verification) on X should be free. Full stop. Yes, Elon needs us to inspire the masses with his space-driven vision and help fuel its popularity. After all, a church is nothing without its evangelists. Without us.😉 So let us continue like this for three more days. Five more days on Premium, and I can still share my long night sky stories with you, dear friends. @Premium support has actually stayed silent, still hidden behind bots.#BotSupport Next week, I am afaid, I’ll have to shorten my posts without their premium editing tools. Still, I’ll keep sharing short tweets now and then as gateways to the full stories on my website. Retweet less. I cannot engage as much on X once the premium functions are taken away from me. Actually, it becomes a lose-lose situation: they offer nothing, and I can offer very little in return. Or nothing? But there is also good news: I am now officially verified on #Bluesky (for free), and you can find me there at https://t.co/DlEwiQIDS7. Meanwhile 2,000 friends are following me there. I do not care about politics, what everyone believes, they can believe whatever they want. I am here to admire land and sky through my lens. Yet, I hope Bluesky will soon improve their editing tools and allow longer posts, so I can move more of my content there.
