A loaded Iveco tanker has broken down on the descent of CMS–Apongbon Bridge inward Offin Canal. The vehicle, which developed a mechanical fault, is currently occupying approximately 50% of the main carriage way, resulting in significant traffic congestion extending backwards towards the CMS Bridge. Our personnel have deployed cones at the rear of the vehicle to prevent any secondary incident and ensuring the continued flow of traffic around the impediment, while a tow truck has been contacted for its prompt evacuation.
