It really annoys me that X has removed the blue/gray dim mode.
With black or white background, the contrast is high and if you scroll a lot, it strains your eyes.

Some of us prefer something that's not all black nor all blinding white. Bring back the dim! It was pointless to remove it. You obviously did it to piss someone or some people off.
