— Lewis Hamilton faced a five-second penalty for a false start at the British Grand Prix. Despite an impressive start that saw him and Charles Leclerc overtake Andrea Kimi Antonelli, the review showed Hamilton's car moved prematurely. The penalty was served at his first pit stop. Speaking to media, Frederic Vasseur, Ferrari's team principal, addressed the situation:
“The sensors say that the car didn't move on the grid. Then it's true that from the video you can see the tire sticker moving just 42 millimeters, but it's not for me to judge. I find it a tough decision when the sensors don't detect motion. But on the other hand, the commissioners don't comment on their decisions, so we have to accept it.”

— Max Verstappen acknowledged that while his Red Bull showed improvement, it still fell short of his expectations. Speaking to media, Verstappen remarked:
“We are not yet where we would like to be. In the Sprint, I'll have to look especially back.”
— Despite securing third place in the Silverstone Sprint Qualifying, Verstappen noted the narrow margins that could have altered his position. He elaborated:
“We could have finished third or maybe sixth or seventh, because we're all really close, but this time we were on the right side. So yeah, we've gotten a little bit closer, but I don't think we're where we'd like to be yet, so there are a few things to understand to try to improve. After the Sprint, of course, we'll try to do it.”
— When asked about the car's performance in Sprint Qualifying compared to free practice, Verstappen shared his insights:
“It went a little better, but I'm still not where I wanted to go. I imagine it's a combination of the characteristics of the track, which imposes some limitations on the straights, and the fact of being able to find the right balance in the right window.”

“SF-26 is very good at race pace, keeping them behind will not be impossible.”
“Yesterday everyone scared me, saying that we would pay six tenths in the straight compared to these guys. And in the last race in Austria, we were really four tenths behind on the obverse.”

“Today, all of a sudden, we are back there. I was wondering if it was true, if the others would have increased their power in qualifying; instead, we are right there competing with them.”
