In the previous two posts, I explained the What and Why of #BSIM Backup.
Now let’s talk about the How 👇
The backup process is actually very simple:
As shown in the below screenshot, just 4 steps to secure your #BSIM wallet in a much safer way than relying only on a mnemonic. 🔐📲

Step 1: Tap “Backup”
On the BIM Wallet home page, you’ll see the prompt:
“Back up seed phrase to ensure the security of this wallet”
Just tap the “Backup” link.
Simple entry point.
Critical security action. ✅

Step 2: Set and confirm your Backup Password 🔑
Create an 8-character backup password with:
✅ numbers
✅ lowercase letters
✅ uppercase letters
You’ll need this password to recover your wallet if your #BSIM is lost or replaced.
Important:
BIM Wallet does NOT store your backup password.
So please remember it yourself.
No one else can do that for you. ⚠️

Step 3: Generate your Backup QR Code 🧩
Enter your BPIN (if enabled), and the app will generate your Backup QR Code.
To recover your wallet later, you will need:
✅ your Backup QR Code
✅ your backup password
Important note:
Even though the QR code alone cannot restore the account, it is still sensitive backup data.
So please store it carefully. 🔐

Step 4: Save it to your album 🖼️
Once completed, the app will confirm:
“The backup QR code has been saved to your album successfully.”
After that, you can also store it in other places, such as:
☁️ cloud storage
💻 your computer
📩 email
🖨️ or even print it out
But remember:
It is always your responsibility to keep your QR code safe.

BSIM 是 #Conflux 树图和中国电信一起做的项目，相当于把流量卡和硬件钱包合在了一起。
它的安全设计挺有意思：用户日常使用没有私钥、也没有助记词的概念。
如果有人想动你账户里的资产，必须同时拿到 BSIM 卡、密码和备份二维码，少一个都不行。
平常用起来其实和普通钱包差不多，交易的时候输入密码就可以了。

有用户问 #BSIM Backup的技术原理，这里再单独解释下 #BSIM 是如何将传统的 单点密钥风险模型 升级为 多要素密码学安全模型，进而显著提升移动账户与数字资产的安全等级的？
我们的科学家们 @chenxingdotli 设计了 #BSIM 多层密码学安全架构
Multi-Layer Cryptographic Security Architecture
确保 #BSIM 账户密钥在 备份、存储、恢复 全流程中的安全性。
核心安全机制包括五大方面：
1️⃣ 🔒 端侧密钥加密封装（Seed Encryption）
账户种子在卡内通过密码学模块加密后导出，
备份中存在的始终只是密文。
明文密钥从不离开安全执行环境。
2️⃣ 🪪 ICCID 绑定加密（Card Binding Encryption）
通过卡号信息，结合 HMAC-SHA256 派生密钥流，
再使用 XOR 加密，
让备份数据与 SIM 身份强绑定。
就算数据泄露，没有对应 #BSIM 卡，也无法直接恢复。
3️⃣ 🎲 随机化加密参数（Per-Backup Randomization）
每次备份都会生成独立的 初始化向量 IV。
即使是同一个账户、同一份数据，
每次备份产生的密文也完全不同。
有效防止模式分析攻击。
4️⃣ 🏷️ 密码完整性校验（Password Integrity Tag）
备份密码通过 pwd_tag 校验标签验证。
不仅校验密码输入是否正确，
也进一步提高离线暴力破解的难度。
5️⃣ 🛡️ 卡内密码学执行（On-Card Cryptographic Execution）
账户恢复必须在 #BSIM 卡 内部安全环境 中执行。
密钥恢复与写入都由卡内算子完成，
外部设备无法直接访问，更无法解析密钥数据。
